ASPİLSAN ENERJİ is 41

Since 1981, when it was founded with donations from charitable citizens and organizations in Kayseri to meet the Turkish Armed Forces' battery, battery, and accumulator needs, ASPİLSAN Enerji has worked for 41 years with the goal of providing solutions that will reduce our country's foreign dependency in the field of energy systems.

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Enerji, which just celebrated its 41st anniversary in its new factory, which is Turkey's and Europe's first cylindrical battery facility, said: As ASPİLSAN Enerji, we will have achieved a domestic and national breakthrough in the field of energy storage, with our Cylindrical Lithium Ion Battery Production Facility, which is made up primarily of foreign firms.

Only a few days remain till a lithium-ion battery plant begins mass production

Our new facility, which will begin mass production in May 2022, will be able to generate 21 million battery cells per year. As a result, by making Lithium-Ion batteries in our country, we will greatly enhance the battery and battery manufacturer localization rate. Our goal has never been to expand and create a business. Our first objective is to build a local ecosystem by assisting enterprises operating in our country in fields that are relevant to us. Not only will batteries be manufactured in our Lithium-Ion Battery Production Facility, but we will also be able to develop custom.

With strategic investments and national power, ASPİLSAN Enerji has become one of the world's top brands in our sector, producing more than 300 batteries for aircraft, ships, unmanned aerial vehicles, and rail systems, in addition to providing Turkey's battery and battery needs.

Except for the defense industry, we played an important role in a variety of industries

We conduct studies on energy storage for the demands of all sectors, particularly the defense industry, in our four R&D centers in Kayseri, Istanbul, Ankara, and Edirne.

We began offering our first goods for several naval systems this year. In addition, we chose to collaborate with Arçelik to produce batteries for household appliances, allowing us to enter a new market. With our communications batteries and e-mobility batteries, we've started supplying two different sectors with our products. We also joined the civil aviation industry thanks to the European Aviation Safety Agency's (EASA) accreditation.

The Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, in particular, has been a huge supporter of ASPİLSAN Enerji's development. ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, Roketsan, and HAVELSAN, in particular, made significant contributions to this expansion.
