Reflecting on the company\u2019s accomplishments in 2024, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji\u2019s General Manager, Prof. Ahmet Turan \u00d6ZDEM\u0130R, stated:\n\u201c2024 was a proud year for ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji, during which we achieved our strategic goals, developed innovative technologies, and contributed to our country\u2019s independence in energy storage. Guided by sustainability, domestic production, and technological innovation, we successfully launched impactful projects spanning the defense industry, environmental awareness, and sustainable economic themes.<\/p>\n

As one of the companies with the broadest product range across various industries in T\u00fcrkiye and worldwide, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji continues to set ambitious goals annually to advance its processes. In 2024, we achieved notable successes in national projects, marking another milestone in our journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Strengthening Our Defense Industry<\/strong><\/p>\n

T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s indigenous fighter jet, KAAN, successfully completed its maiden flight powered by ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji\u2019s battery systems. Additionally, ASP\u0130LSAN developed customized battery systems for the defense industry, including the BB-1923 and BB-1920. Furthermore, the company introduced T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s first 21700 Lithium-Ion Cell, the ASP\u0130LSAN INR21700A42, setting a significant precedent. In 2024, ASP\u0130LSAN also accelerated its efforts in marine battery systems, producing batteries for torpedoes and unmanned underwater vehicles.<\/p>\n

Space exploration not only unlocks the mysteries of the universe but also serves as a driving force for innovation and technological progress. Technologies developed for space programs are utilized across various sectors, enhancing efficiency and boosting employment. Recognizing this potential, T\u00fcrkiye has taken determined steps to become a strong global actor in the space race.<\/p>\n

The National Space Program was launched to define Turkey\u2019s strategic vision and goals in space, under the coordination of the Turkish Space Agency (TUA). Within this framework, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji signed the \u201cSpace-Qualified Battery Production Framework Protocol\u201d with TUSA\u015e (Turkish Aerospace Industries), marking a turning point in space technologies. This partnership enables the production of high-tech space-qualified batteries in Turkey, strengthening the country\u2019s position as a global actor in the space industry. Additionally, rapid progress has been made in developing rocket batteries.<\/p>\n

As part of the exemplary ADAB\u00dcS project for modern transportation transformation in T\u00fcrkiye, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji developed battery systems to support a fully independent supply chain ecosystem. The ADAB\u00dcS vehicle fleet was deployed in 2024.<\/p>\n

Representing T\u00fcrkiye on International Platforms<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2024, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji showcased its technologies at international exhibitions in the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. These efforts enhanced its global presence while proudly representing T\u00fcrkiye. The company also achieved significant milestones in national and international certification processes, elevating product safety and quality standards to the highest levels.<\/p>\n

Despite challenging market conditions, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji increased its revenue, sustaining growth through domestic production and technological innovation.<\/p>\n

Under the European Union\u2019s Horizon Europe Program, ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji secured funding for three international projects under the \u201cClimate, Energy, and Mobility\u201d theme in 2024, further solidifying its competitive and sustainable contributions to the European battery value chain.<\/p>\n

Workshops on Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Suppression<\/strong><\/p>\n

ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji places great emphasis on enhancing safety standards alongside its innovative solutions in energy storage. In 2024, the company organized a workshop addressing safety concerns around lithium-ion battery fires. High-ranking officials from fire departments in Kayseri, Ankara, and Istanbul, along with academics from Sakarya University, Erciyes University, and Kayseri University, participated in the event.<\/p>\n

The workshop explored intervention methods for lithium-ion battery fires, preventive measures for overheating scenarios, and cooling techniques. ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji is committed to achieving high standards and quality both in production processes and user safety.<\/p>\n

Under the \u201cSector on Campus\u201d program, initiated through a protocol between the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Council of Higher Education (Y\u00d6K), ASP\u0130LSAN Enerji collaborated with Erciyes University to launch the \u201cIntroduction to Battery Management System Design\u201d course during the 2024 Fall Semester.<\/p>\n
