ASPİLSAN Enerji Organized 6th Battery Technologies Conference

The 6th Battery Technologies Conference, hosted by ASPİLSAN Enerji, focused on energy solutions in the context of global technical advancements and climate change. Important officials from prominent institutions in the sector, as well as researchers from top universities, gathered for informative panels on home and national battery cells that would reduce foreign dependency.

"Energy solutions in the context of technological developments and global climate change," "developments in battery technology and solutions for the increasing demand for batteries, especially e-mobility," and "domestic and national battery production and raw materials in battery production in Turkey" were among the topics discussed at the 6th Battery Technologies Conference. Twelve different panels were held, each with a different theme, such as "material supply."

Making a statement regarding the battery technologies workshop organized by ASPİLSAN Enerji for the sixth time, ASPİLSAN Enerji General Manager Ferhat Özsoy said “In the world we live in, battery technologies have become an inextricable part of our existence. In this context, we have been working as ASPİLSAN Enerji, an establishment of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, since our establishment to ensure that our country meets its technology and renewable energy goals.

We Work for the Future of Clean Energy

The majority of the world's energy presently comes from fossil fuels. Harmful gases created by the combustion of fossil fuels contribute to environmental challenges such as global warming, climate change, air pollution, and the greenhouse effect. Furthermore, because fossil fuel reserves are limited, they are rapidly depleted as global energy demand rises.

ASPİLSAN Energy is a member of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, a group of European firms, universities, and research institutes committed to a climate-free future by 2050. In this regard, with our Istanbul R&D Unit, ASPİLSAN Energy demonstrates the creation of clean (green) activities (electrolyzer and fuel cells) inside its environment. In schools, it will continue.

ASPİLSAN Enerji in Today's and Future's Technology

The battery industry is in a unique position to cover a wide range of applications, including everything from mobile phones to robotic systems to electric automobiles. The solution of directing energy production to renewable sources is sustainable for reducing carbon emissions, as is the solution of storing energy. The value of batteries in this context grows even more when we consider that we build electrochemical storages with them.

As ASPİLSAN Enerji , we carry out very important studies in order to develop battery technologies in our country and reduce our reliance on foreign sources, with the efforts of Turkish engineers using local and national resources, and the studies we conduct in our four separate R&D centres in Kayseri, Ankara, Istanbul, and Edirne.

I am positive that the valuable outputs that will come from the Battery Technologies Conference, which we are hosting for the sixth time, will benefit our sector significantly.

We'll lessen our reliance on the outside world

As ASPİLSAN, we will apply for the first cylindrical production facility of Turkey and Europe, which will start mass production in 2022, while discussing both the defense industry and the private sector We work with an aging target on the relevant information on the same facility with a facility similar to the manufacturing region thanks to this facility. With our own strategic capability, we'll be able to respond to our latest battery technology.

Our country will be able to have a say in this subject if it has access to technology and follows future advancements. We'd like to show our gratitude to the ecosystem's important stakeholders who attended and supported the battery technologies workshop that we've been hosting for the past six years with this purpose."
