Domestic and National Telecom Batteries Will Strengthen Türkiye’s Robust Communication Infrastructure
ASPİLSAN Enerji and ULAK Haberleşme A.Ş. signed a strategic cooperation agreement during the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC26) held in Barcelona from March 2–5, 2026, aiming to expand the use of local and national solutions in Türkiye’s communication infrastructure.
At MWC26, one of the most prestigious events in the global telecommunications technology sector, the “Cooperation Ceremony for the Use of Domestic and National Telecom Batteries in the National Network” marked an important step towards utilizing the 48V-100Ah and 48V-150Ah Li-Ion Telecom Batteries, developed by ASPİLSAN Enerji, which have domestic software and electronic card infrastructure, in Türkiye’s National Communication Network.
The developed Battery Systems provide secure, uninterrupted, and sustainable energy for telecommunication networks, thanks to their high energy efficiency, long cycle life, advanced battery management system (BMS), and domestic software infrastructure. These solutions, which are of strategic importance for energy continuity and operational reliability in critical communication infrastructures, also contribute to reducing dependency on foreign sources.
ASPİLSAN Enerji has played an active role in the process of replacing energy storage systems in the telecommunications networks of Türkiye's national operators, such as Turkcell and Türk Telekom, with local and national solutions. The company has not only become the first to introduce domestic and national telecom batteries into the network in Türkiye but has also strengthened its position as the first local manufacturer to export telecommunications infrastructure batteries.
This development represents not only a product success but also an important achievement for Türkiye’s digital sovereignty and strategic infrastructure security.

The cooperation with ULAK Haberleşme A.Ş. also plays a crucial role in strengthening the local ecosystem for Türkiye’s roadmap towards 5G and beyond communication technologies.
Developing the energy systems used in telecom infrastructures with domestic and national means represents an important milestone in terms of sustainability goals, supply security, and strategic independence.
