ASPİLSAN Enerji, the first producer of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries in Türkiye, is transforming energy into portable suitcase and bag-type battery systems that can be used in all areas, especially in emergency situations.
Established in 2022 with an investment of approximately 1.5 billion Turkish lira in Kayseri, the Lithium-Ion Battery Production Facility has an annual production capacity of around 21 million batteries.
Ürettiği çevreci bataryalarla yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarını destekleyen fabrika, temiz enerji pazarına yönelik yatırımlarla uluslararası iş birliklerini de geliştiriyor.
With its environmentally friendly batteries, the factory supports renewable energy sources and strengthens international collaborations through investments in the clean energy market.
ASPİLSAN Enerji General Manager Ahmet Turan Özdemir stated that they have been working since 1981 for Türkiye’s energy independence.
Özdemir stated that they produce batteries and cells for all areas of need, and also develop portable energy storage systems in suitcase, bag, and rack types.
Özdemir made the following remarks about the products they manufacture:
"We place great importance on portable energy storage systems. We offer single-unit portable products ranging from 600 watts to 6000 watts. What are they used for? We provide energy storage solutions to meet field needs during camping, in offices, for outdoor work, and in emergency situations. These solutions are often used in scenarios where the power grid is unstable or completely unavailable—allowing energy to be stored using solar panels, generators, or other sources, and then deployed in the field as a quiet and high-quality energy supply. These portable energy sources also have stationary versions. There are various energy storage solutions that range from residential and office types to industrial and even large container-type systems. We have a wide range of portable products that are compact, ergonomic, and designed to fit into different spaces. As you know, we've had very painful experiences during earthquakes. We had to shut off generators to listen for signs of life under the rubble. When night came, we urgently needed lighting. In such cases, there is a critical need for clean, storable, and silent energy sources."
Özdemir explained that they decided to start producing energy storage systems following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, saying: “Together with AFAD and various government institutions, we developed different solutions tailored to field needs. The most critical of these are 3000 to 6000-watt products that are resistant to harsh field conditions and designed to be dustproof.”
Özdemir also added that they meet needs by providing the public with various portable energy storage solutions designed for use on the summit of Erciyes, in caravans, camps, office environments, and in power grids with irregular electricity supply.
