ASPİLSAN Enerji Works For Clean Energy's Future

Today, fossil fuels represent a major portion of the world's energy needs, yet also have very detrimental environmental consequences. Environmental issues such as global warming, climate change, air pollution, and the greenhouse effect are caused by harmful gases produced by the usage of fossil fuels. Furthermore, there is a limit to fossil fuel stocks, which are fast depleting in response to rising energy demand. As a result, finding alternate energy sources becomes critical.

On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Enerji, made statements about energy solutions in the context of technical developments and climate change, saying: is located. The EU's milestone goals include reducing carbon emissions by 55 percent by 2030 through including industry and energy corporations, as well as transitioning to a zero-carbon economy by 2050. As a result, our country has ratified the Paris Climate Accord. Since its inception, ASPİLSAN Enerji, an institution of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, has been working to ensure that our country can meet its technology and renewable energy goals. In this context, we continue our work as ASPİLSAN Enerji as a member of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, which brings together firms, colleges, and research institutes from around Europe that are dedicated to achieving carbon-free climate targets by 2050.

With our GES project, we will be able to meet our green energy needs.
As ASPİLSAN Enerji, our first cylindrical lithium-ion battery factory in Europe and Türkiye, located in the Mimarsinan Organized Industrial Zone, is a state-of-the-art facility that will begin mass production soon. A Solar Power Plant will be developed on our roof, which is one of our facility's major differences.

Our Solar Power Plant, which will be installed on the roof, will have a total capacity of 1 MW. Our SPP project, which is expected to generate an annual average of 1712 MWh, will prevent 842 tons of carbon emissions. Solar energy will offer one-eighth of our electricity use, compared to our facility's installed power. As a result, in the not-too-distant future, we will provide the remaining portion of our electricity needs from the Green Energy Pool, making us a facility that consumes only green energy.

In addition, we will obtain an internationally valid, transparent, and traceable Green Energy Certificate to prove that our electricity comes from renewable sources. As a result, we will be one of the sites that will serve as a carbon emissions role model.

As a Solution to Global Warming, Türkiye's Company in Battery Production and Energy Storage ASPİLSAN Enerji

One of the key characteristics that distinguishes ASPLSAN Energy is that it creates and manufactures batteries with the features that platform makers desire. With our individually designed goods, we have produced solution alternatives for numerous sectors, particularly public institutions, in addition to producing ordinary batteries. We've begun positioning our Energy Storage System solutions for places where energy is a priority, such as police stations, data centres, and UAV control centres. The features we focus on in these systems are producing from renewable energy sources (Sun, Wind, etc.) and establishing a system that will continue to operate without interruption, without any devices such as UPS being harmed by power outages.

To meet the rapidly rising energy demand, we continue to work hard to develop domestic and national battery and energy storage systems (EDS) in our country, which will allow us to efficiently store energy generated by renewable energy sources and develop the most appropriate transformations to meet the demands.

Two Important Clean Energy Products for the Future

We developed a hydrogen ecosystem demo in our Istanbul R&D Center as ASPİLSAN Enerji, and we continue to work on solutions for our country's green hydrogen transformation.

With its numerous advantages, hydrogen now stands out among alternative fuels. Hydrogen is widely employed in a variety of industries, including ammonia/fertilizer, petrochemical/refinery, glass, and aerospace and defence systems. We want to develop PEM type electrolyzers in our Istanbul R&D centre since they can produce high purity hydrogen and oxygen (99.999%) and are an industrially established system.

Fuel cells are used in the consumption part of the green hydrogen ecosystem. To convert the chemical energy in the fuel into electrical energy, conventional power production systems require a number of intermediate processes, each of which reduces the efficiency of the system. Fuel cells are distinguished from traditional batteries by their ability to create energy constantly as long as the fuel is supplied, without the need for recharging. Vehicles with built-in, portable, distributed, and emergency power generation systems/prototypes include UAVs, forklifts, automobiles, trucks, and buses. With these two essential items, we are continuing our efforts to contribute to the future of renewable energy.

We signed a protocol of cooperation for the Turkish industry's first green hydrogen plant

We came together and signed a corporate cooperation protocol for the "Green Hydrogen Plant" scheduled to be built in Bandırma, Balkesir, as South Marmara Development Agency, Enerjisa Üretim Santralleri AŞ., Eti Maden Operations General Directorate, TÜBİTAK MAM, and ASPİLSAN Enerji.

In this context, we are pleased to be a part of the studies being conducted at Enerjisa Üretim's Bandırma Energy Base for the production and use of green hydrogen, an alternative energy source with the greatest potential to replace fossil fuels in reducing carbon emissions with existing technologies on the way to 100 percent energy transformation. I'd like to make a point.

We will continue to be a leader in value-added work to help our country meet its renewable energy targets as ASPİLSAN Enerji."
