ASPİLSAN Enerji added a new R&D office to its R&D activities in Trakya University Technopark to conduct green energy studies in order to lessen our country's reliance on foreign energy sources.

Trakya University Vice Rector and Trakya University Foreign Relations Application and Research Centre Director Prof. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz and Trakya Technopark General Manager Dr. Faculty Member Özgür Özdemir spoke about the work done in the techno park prior to the opening of the R&D office. Trakya Teknopark Genel Müdürü Dr. Öğretim Üyesi Özgür Özdemir teknoparkta yapılan çalışmalar hakkında bilgi verdi.

"The solution to the sustainability of shifting to renewable sources in energy production within the framework of lowering carbon emissions is through energy storage," said Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Enerji, and added “In reference to the R&D office they created in Trakya University Technopark. We make a special effort at ASPİLSAN Enerji localize the materials used in energy storage systems. We will make substantial contributions to Edirne and Trakya University, as well as the economy of our country, through the R&D studies we will do in this area in Trakya University Technopark. In this regard, we are very delighted to collaborate with Trakya University faculty members and regional industrialists in order to generate jobs for students."

Trakya University Vice Rector and Trakya University Foreign Relations Application and Research Centre Director Prof. Dr. Murat Türkyılmaz stated that ASPİLSAN Enerji provides very important support to the defence industry and that the global emphasized that it has become a valuable brand in this sense, adding that it also has R&D offices in Kayseri, Ankara, and Istanbul. "We have no doubt that ASPLSAN Energy would conduct value-added initiatives with Trakya University and Trakya University Technopark," prof. Dr. Türkyılmaz remarked. As Trakya University, we are ready to assist any research that is conducted in this context."

Following the talks, the R&D office of ASPİLSAN Enerji was inaugurated.
