On the 17th and 20th of August 2021, the 15th IDEF International Defence Industry Fair, an international brand of Turkey and one of the most renowned fairs in the world, was held in Istanbul. We are happy to have successfully completed IDEF'21, which was organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency, hosted by the Ministry of National Defence, and managed and supervised by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
At this exhibition, we introduced our products, which we make utilizing our strong engineering resources and R&D-based domestic and national solutions, to professional visitors in the field, who participate in the sector, as ASPİLSAN Enerji one of the Turkish Defence Industry's giants. At the same time, our relationships with Turkish authorities and local/foreign businesses will help to secure our company's and country's futures!
We inked four distinct collaborations as ASPİLSAN Enerji at the show, which also hosts national and international collaborations, with a strong cooperation understanding for a strong tomorrow. Our goal partner HAVELSAN has inked a "Strategic Cooperation Agreement." The usage of lithium carbonate generated by Eti Maden as a raw material in R&D operations within the framework of lithium ion battery cell development by ASPLSAN Energy and the use of created battery cells by ASELSAN were signed by ASPİLSAN Enerji, ASELSAN, and Eti Maden. TÜBİTAK RUTE has signed a project contract titled "Development of Lithium-Ion Battery and Sub-Components" in order to help our country advance in the field of lithium-ion battery technologies. MENATEK Defence, a dependable sub-supplier of local and foreign main contractors in the field of land vehicles, has signed a project contract titled "Cooperation for E-Scooter Battery Supply." We really hope that the efforts we've taken to make Turkey stronger will help the Turkish defence industry grow faster.
We hope that IDEF'21 will be useful to our country, with 1250 participants from 55 countries and 663 representatives from 83 countries, and we look forward to IDEF'23.
