President of the Presidency of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir Visited ASPİLSAN Enerji

President of the Presidency of the Defence Industry, Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir, and the accompanying group paid a visit to ASPİLSAN Enerji in Kayseri.

On-site, President of the Presidency Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir examined domestic and national capabilities in the defence industry and made a statement about his visit to ASPLSAN Energy, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness for this sector in order to reduce foreign dependency in the defence industry.

"The growth of the ecosystem in the military industry is highly beneficial," Demir added, emphasizing the necessity of output made with domestic and national resources. ASPİLSAN Enerji, one of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation's companies, is the only one working in the field of battery technology, which are vital to the military industry. In Turkey, ASPİLSAN Enerji has achieved the most significant step forward in battery manufacture. By involving the university in battery production technology, ASPİLSAN Enerji has been able to make it employ more modern technologies. This is the start of a journey in battery manufacturing technology, and ASPİLSAN is the first stage. This trip will continue with great skill and will take many larger steps forward. The Kayseri industry should pay more attention to this sector. We have taken the first step and made a significant breakthrough, despite the fact that we are only at the beginning of the journey.

In this context, ASPİLSAN Enerji, which supplies local and national production with a variety of goods to suit the energy needs of our country's defence sector, has increased its R&D efforts. Turkish engineers at ASPİLSAN Enerji contribute significantly to the development of our defence sector and the reduction of our reliance on foreign suppliers. I congratulate ASPİLSAN Enerji on its work, which adds value to our country," said the speaker.

Ferhat Özsoy, General Manager of ASPİLSAN Energy, concluded the visit with an interesting presentation on new works and a tour of the plant.
