THE BATTERY TECHNOLOGIES SUMMIT, WHICH ASPİLSAN ENERJİ PROUDLY SERVED AS THE GOLD SPONSOR, HAS CONCLUDED.

The event, previously known as the Battery Technologies Workshop held in Kayseri for the past seven years, has been transformed into the Battery Technologies Summit this year under the leadership of PiLDER (Battery, Battery Pack Manufacturers and Suppliers Association), of which ASPİLSAN Enerji is a founding member.

Addressing the attendees at the Battery Technologies Summit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turan ÖZDEMİR, who is the General Manager of ASPİLSAN Enerji, stated that ASPİLSAN Enerji has been organizing our event in Kayseri under the name 'Battery Technologies Workshop' for seven years. This year, the event has evolved into the Battery Technologies Summit.

The field of battery cells and battery technology has experienced staggering growth in recent years. The global battery market, valued at $120 billion in 2021, is expected to surpass $300 billion by 2030. One of the major driving forces behind this growth is the increasing popularity of electric vehicles and the need to store renewable energy sources.

In addition, battery cells nad battery recycling hold critical importance in reducing carbon emissions mitigating the impact on our environment and enabling the reuse of valuable materials. The goal is to recycle 180,000 metric tons of electric vehicle batteries by 2030.

ASPİLSAN Enerji, Contributing to Our Country's Energy, is Rapidly Producing in Mass at Full Speed at The Lithium-Ion Battery Cell Facility.

With pride in establishing Türkiye's first Lithium-Ion Battery Cell Production Facility, ASPİLSAN Enerji closely monitors developments in battery and technology and provides high-tech solutions. At our battery cell production facility, we manufacture our first mass-produced product, the A28 rechargeable cylindrical lithium-ion battery cell. The ASPİLSAN A28 battery cell is the first lithium-ion 18650 battery cell produced in Europe, distinguishing itself with its high discharge rate and the ability to operate at low temperatures. The production of rechargeable batteries in our country will positively impact the rapid advancement of our other technologies.

We received project-based state incentives for the establishment of this facility with the signature of the President of Türkiye. I would like to express our gratitude to The President of Türkiye, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Presidency of Defence Industries and the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.

In the past weeks, at the "Battery Experts Forum" held in Darmstadt, Germany, we had the opportunity to share our experiences in battery production. Our presentation, framed as "Don't think there is no battery production in Europe; look, lithium-ion battery production is happening in Türkiye!" underscores our pioneering role in the field. We continue our efforts unabated to position ASPİLSAN Enerji as one of the world's leading battery manufacturers.

ASPİLSAN Enerji also engages in battery pack and Ni-Cd battery production, encompassing a wide range of products from radio batteries to aviation and helicopter batteries, telecommunication batteries to medical battery systems. We plan to expand our product range in 2024 to produce innovative solutions."
